Sr. MEMS Development Engineer
About the role
Join the team that is revolutionizing the timing industry with the best silicon Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) timing products in the world. As a MEMS Development Engineer, you will use your technical and creative problem-solving skills to design, characterize, improve MEMS devices and build SiTime’s next generation of MEMS products.
Responsibilities
- Design MEMS devices and characterize the electrical, mechanical, and thermal performance.
- Extend and enhance automated infrastructure for MEMS design, data collection and analysis.
- Design, run, and analyze experiments to understand device physics, materials and fabrication.
- Interface with local and overseas vendors.
- Work in cross-functional teams, including Circuits, Systems, and Packaging.
- Drive and/or support projects and other company goals as needed.
- Working/supporting other projects as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ph.D. in ME, EE, Physics, or equivalent
- Skilled scientist with ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments
- Excellent knowledge of mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics
- Knowledge in fundamentals of MEMS devices
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional results

- 1+ years of industry experience
- Basic knowledge of programing languages, circuits, metrology equipment and methods
- Knowledge of finite element simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS) and signal processing tools (Matlab)
Benefits
The annual base salary range for this role is $111,000.00 – $152,680.00. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
