Sr. Mechanical Engineer, Radar

Responsibilities

• Design RF enclosures and test systems of our next-generation Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) Radar system.
• Own the RF and standard electronics packaging, including ECAD, closely collaborating with the Radar Electrical engineers.
• Design the electrical interconnection and system harnessing.
• Support certification of our AESA Radar system and other Avionics hardware to DO-160 environmental, DO-254 design assurance, and FCC certification.

Requirements

• Expertise in CAD modeling and drafting (NX preferred)
• Mastery of tolerance and assembly analysis, including GD&T
• Change management process knowledge and experience using configuration management tools (Teamcenter preferred)
• Familiarity with DO-160 environmental requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Avionics and radar packaging experiences preferred
• Thermal analysis experience (both hand calcs and finite element)
• Design for manufacturability and volume production
• Project ownership and management
• Hands on skills assembling avionics per aerospace industry standards
