Responsibilities
- Design RF enclosures and test systems of our next-generation Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) Radar system.
- Own the RF and standard electronics packaging, including ECAD, closely collaborating with the Radar Electrical engineers.
- Design the electrical interconnection and system harnessing.
- Support certification of our AESA Radar system and other Avionics hardware to DO-160 environmental, DO-254 design assurance, and FCC certification.
Requirements
- Expertise in CAD modeling and drafting (NX preferred)
- Mastery of tolerance and assembly analysis, including GD&T
- Change management process knowledge and experience using configuration management tools (Teamcenter preferred)
- Familiarity with DO-160 environmental requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Avionics and radar packaging experiences preferred
- Thermal analysis experience (both hand calcs and finite element)
- Design for manufacturability and volume production
- Project ownership and management
- Hands on skills assembling avionics per aerospace industry standards
