Position Summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Steering Systems Kinematics Simulation Engineer with 7–9 years of experience in steering and chassis systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain steering system and suspension kinematic models using MSC ADAMS.
  • Perform multibody dynamics simulations to assess steering and suspension system performance.
  • Conduct kinematic and compliance (K&C) studies and provide design recommendations.
  • Analyze steering characteristics including:
    • Bump steer
    • Ackermann geometry
    • Steering ratio
    • Wheel travel behavior
    • Suspension articulation
  • Support virtual validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with design, CAE, vehicle integration, and vehicle dynamics teams.
  • Correlate simulation results with physical test data and improve model accuracy.
  • Prepare simulation reports, technical presentations, and project documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of simulation processes and methodologies.

Required Experience

  • 7–9 years of experience in automotive steering systems, suspension systems, or vehicle dynamics engineering.
  • Proven experience performing steering and chassis kinematics simulations using MSC ADAMS.
  • Experience supporting OEM or Tier-1 vehicle development programs.
  • Strong understanding of steering mechanisms and suspension architectures.

  • Virtual Validation & Correlation - Comparing simulation results with physical test data and improving model accuracy.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
