About the Opportunity
Join an innovative engineering team developing next-generation electromechanical systems used in highly regulated, high-reliability industries. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive product architecture, design, integration, testing, and commercialization of complex products from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and development of complex electromechanical products from concept, prototyping, verification, and manufacturing release.
- Develop product architectures including mechanisms, materials selection, thermal management, and system integration.
- Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design reviews, testing, and commercialization.
- Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical verification activities.
- Build and test prototypes to validate functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Reliability principles.
- Support root-cause investigations, failure analysis, and continuous product improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure efficient product launches and ongoing production success.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience designing complex electromechanical products.
- Proven experience taking products from concept through production.
- Strong SolidWorks expertise, including complex assemblies and detailed drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design best practices.
- Experience with prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing transfer.
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA methodologies.
- Background in medical devices, aerospace, automotive, industrial automation, robotics, or other high-reliability industries preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Motion control systems, motors, pneumatics, fluid handling, or automated equipment.
- Reliability engineering and system-level electromechanical integration.
- Regulatory or compliance-driven product development environments.
