  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3-6 years of product design experience
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling, CATIA V5/6 a plus
  • Experience in designing for high volume assembly
  • Experience in structural analysis including structural FEA, vibration/dynamic analysis, thermal structural analysis, etc., and the ability to efficiently simplify the analysis approach
  • Deep understanding of material science of components used in mechanical design (metals, insulators, plastics, connectors, gaskets, etc.) and their fabrication processes (injection molding, casting, forging, brazing/welding, etc.)
  • Proficiency in GD&T and development of high-quality drawing packages/manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in heat transfer, mechanics, and fluids, thermal FEA and CFD experience preferred
