Sr. Marine Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Review all loan documentation submitted for initial underwriting decision, conditional approvals, and clear to close.
• Evaluate business and personal financial statements, credit history, income, assets and current liabilities for ability to repay.
• Conduct careful risk analysis and exercise good judgment to determine if loans conform to applicable portfolio and investor underwriting guidelines.
• Requires proficiency and in-depth knowledge of commercial spreading and cash flow analysis.
• Review and respond to quality control items related to credit.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma, Bachelor Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of underwriting experience, including in-depth knowledge of self-employed borrower review.
