Sr Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality production in downstream filling and packaging departments
• Filling, capping, labeling, and assembling both sub-assemblies and finished goods
• Maintain world-class standards and help compete on a global scale
• Perform manufacturing tasks with precision and consistency
• Follow established procedures for flawless products
• Communicate and collaborate effectively to meet daily production goals
• Work in standard and clean room environments, adhering to PPE requirements
• Safely operate both manual and automated filling equipment
• Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements on time and align with all ISO and regulatory standards
• Interact with internal personnel to ensure smooth operations and customer happiness
• Recognize and address deviations from accepted practices
• Participate in one-on-one training until proficient
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
• Escalation support for peers during the production day
• Oversee on-the-job training activities
• Review batch binders to ensure GDP quality standards are met
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a life sciences manufacturing environment is a plus
• Proven ability to follow policies, procedures, and schedules independently
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift/move objects: 10lbs regularly, 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment

Benefits

• Flexible schedule options (Mon-Fri 6 am - 2:30 pm or 9 am - 5:30 pm)

$28 per hour

Located in Austin, TX, this position entails assisting the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) with relevant experience in GSD or a similar field.
