About the role

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer on our Operations team, you will develop and implement new manufacturing processes, improve existing ones, and ensure equipment operates at optimal levels. This onsite role in East Longmeadow, MA involves hands-on engineering, project management, and collaboration across departments to drive continuous improvement and support plant needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Review and improve existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ensure equipment, processes, and tooling operate at satisfactory levels.
  • Perform process capability studies.
  • Identify and implement safety and productivity improvements.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives supporting continuous process improvements.
  • Document work standards and instructions.
  • Investigate production concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify new equipment, processes, and tooling; oversee procurement, plant layout, installations, and validations.
  • Initiate capital budget requests and plan, justify, and implement manufacturing proposals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with EH&S policies as defined by Stanley Black & Decker, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Work cohesively within a team environment, engaging with personnel from other departments to drive and complete tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience with process equipment, steel machining, and welding.
  • Skilled in hands-on equipment troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office software and CAD.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $144,900.00 annually. The salary offered may vary based on job level, geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Eligible employees may receive annual merit increases.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (e.g., H1B, OPT/CPT, TN).
