Responsibilities
- Develop, procure, install, and validate manufacturing workstations and equipment.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to product engineering teams.
- Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), PFMEA, Control Plans, Standard Work Instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Lead manufacturing process development from concept through production launch.
- Support equipment commissioning, process validation, and production readiness activities.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Collaborate with Quality teams to establish process controls and ensure compliance.
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train operators and technicians on manufacturing equipment, processes, and standard work.
- Support assembly process development, tooling selection, fixture design, and automation integration.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are robust, capable, and ready for seamless transfer to Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Strong knowledge of: PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, Process Flow Development, Process Validation, Lean Manufacturing, DFM (Design for Manufacturability).
- Experience with assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and automation systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical device, electronics, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC methodologies.
- Experience with automated assembly and test systems.
- Licenses or certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
