Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop, procure, install, and validate manufacturing workstations and equipment.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to product engineering teams.
  • Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), PFMEA, Control Plans, Standard Work Instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Lead manufacturing process development from concept through production launch.
  • Support equipment commissioning, process validation, and production readiness activities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to establish process controls and ensure compliance.
  • Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train operators and technicians on manufacturing equipment, processes, and standard work.
  • Support assembly process development, tooling selection, fixture design, and automation integration.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are robust, capable, and ready for seamless transfer to Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes and production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of: PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, Process Flow Development, Process Validation, Lean Manufacturing, DFM (Design for Manufacturability).
  • Experience with assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical device, electronics, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC methodologies.
  • Experience with automated assembly and test systems.
  • Licenses or certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
