About the role
As the Sr. Warehouse Operations Manager you will lead the management and execution of Transportation, Inventory Control, Receiving, Warehousing, and Distribution Operations. You will serve as a critical resource on the Supply Chain Leadership team, driving process improvements and ensuring all functions meet the production needs of the JHS facility in Spokane. Reporting to the Sr. Director Supply Chain, you will oversee onsite and offsite warehouses, including Transportation, Receiving, Warehouse, Material staging, Material discard, Shipping, and Cycle counts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the warehouse team across onsite and offsite warehouses.
- Provide leadership for Transportation, Receiving, Warehouse, Shipping, and Inventory Control personnel.
- Lead hiring, selection, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline staff; monitor performance and appraise results.
- Ensure the warehouse team complies with current processes and newly implemented changes.
- Provide safe working conditions and promote a safe environment by educating staff on Health and Safety standards.
- Act as a prime liaison between the warehouse team and other departments.
- Approve invoices via the APP system (invoices management system).
- Lead and mentor continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to warehousing, material handling, and shipping.
- Ensure inventory accuracy.
- Develop and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage budgets and control expenditures, including proposals for capital equipment requests.
- Contribute to inventory control by ensuring receiving, warehouse, and shipping activities align with procedures and inventory levels reconcile with SAP.
- Responsible for department SOP writing, modification, and adherence.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership on carrier contracts, vendor performance evaluations, and relevant services contract management.
- Provide regulatory and client tours during audits and serve as the area expert for questions during client or regulatory audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science required; 10 years of experience in lieu of degree required.
- 5+ years of related experience required.
- Direct supervisory management experience required.
- Complex automated technical systems knowledge required.
- Strategic planning and analysis desired.
- Pharmaceutical experience desired.
- FDA Regulated Industry experience (strict cGMP operations control) desired.
- Extensive experience with written and verbal communications, including presenting skills required.
- Extensive analysis and planning experience required.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience required.
- ERP operating systems/concept understanding; SAP experience desired.
- Functional expert experience in Continuous Improvement required.
- Experience providing analysis, diagnosis, or production tasks to noticeably impact end results required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted required.
- Pushing/pulling required for warehouse-related work.
- Prolonged standing required.
- Less than 10% travel required; some for external trainings.
Pay
Hiring wage: $119,900.00–$169,200.00 annually, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (on-site in Spokane, WA).
