Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping processes to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain high operational standards and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics including productivity, accuracy rates, and cost efficiency to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Cook up and coordinate with transportation teams and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound logistics operations.

  • Manage warehouse layout optimization and space utilization to maximize storage capacity and operational flow.

  • Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure data accuracy and system optimization.

  • Lead inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and implement corrective actions when needed.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA safety standards and environmental requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, sales, and customer service to support business objectives.

  • Prepare and present regular operational reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 7-10 years of warehouse management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale operations.

  • Proven track record of managing teams of 50+ employees with demonstrated leadership and people development skills.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions to improve operations.

  • Deep understanding of safety regulations, OSHA compliance, and warehouse safety best practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels.

  • Experience with Lean principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Physical ability to work in warehouse environment including walking, standing, and occasional lifting as required.
