Job Responsibilities
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping processes to ensure optimal efficiency and accuracy.
Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain high operational standards and compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics including productivity, accuracy rates, and cost efficiency to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cook up and coordinate with transportation teams and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Manage warehouse layout optimization and space utilization to maximize storage capacity and operational flow.
Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure data accuracy and system optimization.
Lead inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventories to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and implement corrective actions when needed.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA safety standards and environmental requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, sales, and customer service to support business objectives.
Prepare and present regular operational reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality and operational excellence.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 7-10 years of warehouse management experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale operations.
Proven track record of managing teams of 50+ employees with demonstrated leadership and people development skills.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions to improve operations.
Deep understanding of safety regulations, OSHA compliance, and warehouse safety best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels.
Experience with Lean principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical ability to work in warehouse environment including walking, standing, and occasional lifting as required.
