Job Description

The Senior Manager, Technical Production will lead a critical aspect of the Worldwide Events organization, focusing on the intersection of live event and film production. This role requires a unique hybrid skillset to innovate and enhance how Apple connects with global audiences. The team is responsible for managing production workflows for various events, ensuring high-quality execution across diverse environments. Candidates should possess deep technical expertise and strong leadership skills to build and scale a high-performing production team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in live event production, film production, or hybrid production environments.
  • Deep expertise in both live production and cinematic production workflows.
  • Strong understanding of film production set operations and departmental roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of widely used and leading-edge video codecs, formats, and recording systems.
  • Strong understanding of color pipelines, LUT workflows, and color grading processes.
  • Expertise in lighting design for both film and live environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with LED display systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in live and recorded audio production.
  • Working knowledge of live streaming and broadcast infrastructure.
  • Experience designing and executing power distribution and redundancy strategies.
  • Proven experience leading productions in high-pressure environments.
  • Experience with location scouting and production planning.
  • Strong understanding of production storage systems and media management workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading production for global keynote events or large-scale corporate productions.
  • Familiarity with advanced mobile production workflows.
  • Experience with immersive and spatial audio formats.
  • Strong understanding of emerging production technologies.
  • Experience working in highly confidential environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of all non-theater productions.
  • Oversee the development of production workflows that integrate live broadcast and cinematic capture.
  • Ensure alignment across infrastructure, signal flow, and execution strategy with Technical Operations and Stage Production teams.
  • Deliver best-in-class production across a wide range of environments.
  • Build and scale a high-performing production team.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and production quality in fast-paced environments.
