About the role
This is a newly created, highly visible role combining M&A, acquisition integration, technical accounting, SOX, and SEC reporting. The position will serve as a key finance and accounting point person at newly acquired businesses, helping integrate them into the company's accounting, reporting, systems, and control environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead accounting and finance integration activities for acquisitions, including due diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, controls, systems, and post-close integration
- Partner directly with newly acquired businesses to evaluate accounting practices, identify gaps, and implement corporate accounting policies and SOX controls
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, and business leadership throughout the acquisition and integration process
- Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
- Support SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K filings and financial statement disclosures
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting and reporting activities
- Support impairment analyses, consolidations, and other complex accounting matters
- Drive process and systems improvements as the organization continues to scale
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting, transaction advisory, accounting advisory, or related experience
- M&A / acquisition integration experience required
- Strong technical accounting and U.S. GAAP foundation
- Public company experience, including SOX and 10-Q/10-K exposure
- Ability to take ownership and lead integration efforts at newly acquired businesses
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- CPA preferred
- Oracle experience a plus
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required with strong M&A experience
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally primarily surrounding acquisitions

$140K–$160K plus bonus
