About the role

Voyager is seeking a SAR Data Exploitation Program Manager to oversee the development of cutting-edge automated target recognition software for both moving and stationary objects in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. The candidate will manage a team of radar subject matter experts (SMEs) and machine learning engineers, requiring a strong background in physics and/or electrical engineering to understand SAR imagery phenomenology. The role demands flexibility to shift among leadership, technical, communication, and stakeholder relationship tasks, with a direct impact on issues facing the United States government and other customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of radar SMEs and machine learning engineers to develop automated target recognition software for SAR data.
  • Apply expertise in SAR radar sensing phenomenology and signal processing.
  • Create compelling written and visual technical content to engage external customers/stakeholders and facilitate internal communication.
  • Write clear, concise, and technically solid proposals to support business development.
  • Mentor team members, provide actionable feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Build productive relationships with partners and resolve complex technical and business needs.
  • Develop physics simulations of various phenomenologies and methods to account for bias between simulated and real-world data.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet or exceed stakeholder technical performance measures (TPM).

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Active DoD Top Secret government clearance.
  • Familiarity with SAR radar sensing phenomenology and signal processing.
  • Proven executive communication skills, including experience creating technical proposals.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Experience using technical and soft skills to resolve complex technical and business needs.
  • Ability to create physics simulations and develop methods to account for data bias.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Pay

The good faith base salary range for this role is $200,000.00 to $270,000.00, depending on experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive compensation.
