Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation and continuous improvement of Supply Chain operations, systems, workflows, and team capabilities.
- Establish a scalable Supply Chain organization that serves as the central coordination point for material planning, visibility, and execution across the company.
- Lead integrated production planning (IPP) activities supporting engineering builds, pilot production, verification testing, clinical studies, and manufacturing operations.
- Ensure Supply Chain activities comply with company procedures, ISO 13485 requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Oversee procurement, planning, inventory management, shipping/receiving, material kitting, and work order support for Manufacturing.
ERP Leadership and Inventory Management
- Lead Supply Chain participation in ERP implementation and process alignment, including procurement, inventory management, planning, warehouse management, logistics, and related workflows.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counts, material traceability, and ERP transactions within a regulated medical device environment.
- Improve inventory visibility, safety stock management, operational efficiency, and data integrity.
- Help develop scalable reporting structures, KPIs, and operational processes appropriate for a growing organization.
Communication, Planning & Operational Execution
- Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, PMO, Finance, and Operations to proactively plan material needs, resolve issues, and support program execution.
- Lead IPP activities with strong accountability, active listening, follow-through, and actionable solutions.
- Maintain proactive, clear, concise, and professional communication across all levels of the organization.
- Balance urgent operational needs and tactical daily execution with long-term planning, process improvements, and scalability initiatives.
- Proactively identify risks, capacity constraints, and resource gaps before they impact program timelines.
- Escalate risks early and develop contingency and recovery plans to minimize operational disruptions and avoid delays.
- Ensure commitments are realistic, aligned, and consistently executed with prioritization, accountability, and operational discipline.
Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Supply Chain personnel across procurement, planning, warehouse, and logistics functions.
- Establish clear roles, accountability, cross-training, and backup coverage across the team.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture built on trust, professionalism, communication, responsiveness, accountability, mutual respect and continuous improvement.
- Support ongoing team development in ERP systems, Excel, procurement/planning, and operational best practices.
Supplier Management & Procurement
- Develop and manage supplier relationships, sourcing strategies, procurement activities, supplier performance and issue resolution.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure supplier qualification, Approved Supplier List (ASL) maintenance, CAPAs, audits, and compliance activities are properly executed.
- Develop contingency plans for supply continuity, long lead-time components, and supplier risks.
- Drive cost, lead-time, supplier performance, and process improvement initiatives.
