Sr. Manager, R&D Operations

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Manager, R&D Operations to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the operating model and governance for Product and Engineering organizations, with a strong focus on creating clarity, accountability, and scalable ways of working. The position will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen planning discipline, improve operational consistency, and support better decision-making across the R&D function. The successful candidate will also use metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting to surface risks, measure organizational health, and drive continuous improvement. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $162,821 – $238,804 annually Responsibilities Define and evolve the operating model and governance mechanisms for Product and Engineering Establish clear decision frameworks and accountability models Drive continuous improvement in team planning, collaboration, and operations Own the R&D measurement framework and operational health metrics Develop dashboards that provide visibility into organizational effectiveness and risks Lead initiatives for improving planning discipline and operational consistency Identify operational friction and implement scalable solutions for better performance Qualifications 8+ years in Engineering, Product, and Technology Operations, or a similar function 3+ years leading teams or operating functions Proven experience designing and scaling operating models and governance frameworks Strong analytical skills with experience in metrics and executive reporting Experience driving organizational change in large cross-functional teams Familiarity with modern Product and Engineering tooling and AI-enabled workflows Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills Benefits Generous health coverage and paid parental leave Quarterly self-care days and paid time-off Access to learning and development initiatives, including LinkedIn Learning Support for employee well-being with wellness education sessions Stock option opportunities and a 401K employer matching program Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
