Sr. Manager, Project Services
About the role
ADP is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Services to lead a distributed team of approximately 13–15 associates responsible for delivering specialized Additional Controls implementations and project services for Up Market clients. This team supports a business area that generated over $6.5M in revenue last fiscal year and plays a critical role in enhancing the client experience through innovative solutions and exceptional execution.
In this role, you will combine people leadership, operational excellence, and strategic partnership to drive business results. You will develop a high-performing team, optimize workflows and backlog management practices, and collaborate across ADP to improve scalability, client outcomes, and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities
- Business Management
- Lead a business area supporting more than $6.5M in annual revenue, ensuring achievement of operational, client, and financial performance goals.
- Drive execution through effective backlog management, workforce planning, prioritization, and resource optimization.
- Leverage data, key performance indicators, and business insights to identify opportunities, manage risk, and improve results.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Partner with peer leaders to align priorities, share resources, and drive consistent execution across the Comprehensive Services organization.
- Client Management
- Oversee a portfolio of complex client engagements, ensuring delivery excellence through ADP’s client-centric implementation approach.
- Manage client expectations and monitor client deliverables.
- Act as a business partner with other leaders to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
- Validate that client business issues are addressed in the implementation.
- Serve as a first and second tier of escalation contact for clients.
- Conduct regular project reviews with Project Managers and Implementation Consultants to inspect standard work adherence, client satisfaction, and overall project health.
- Associate Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of Project Managers and Implementation Consultants supporting multiple service offerings.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous learning.
- Support talent planning, performance management, succession development, and career growth initiatives.
- Ensure resource alignment to balance client demand, associate development opportunities, and business priorities.
- Create clarity around expectations, goals, and performance standards while empowering associates to deliver exceptional results.
Requirements
- Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in HCM Implementations, Consulting, Payroll, or HR.
- At least three years of direct people leadership experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success leading implementation, project services, operations, or client delivery organizations with responsibility for business, client, and people outcomes.
- Strong people leadership experience, including leading geographically dispersed and hybrid teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in backlog management, resource planning, prioritization, and operational execution.
- Experience leading teams through organizational change, business transformation, or evolving operational priorities.
- Ability to leverage data, metrics, and business insights to make decisions and drive performance improvements.
- Experience supporting Up Market, enterprise, or other highly complex client segments.
- Strong cross-functional partnership, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
- Proficiency and in-depth knowledge of ADP HCM products.
- Proven ability to create and communicate a compelling vision that inspires engagement and action.
- Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
- Ability to connect team performance to business outcomes, including revenue, client experience, and operational effectiveness.
Pay
Base salary offers for this position range from USD $99,600.00 to USD $185,800.00 per year. Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state, and local laws. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
