Sr. Manager, Procurement- US Lead

About the role

GenScript is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to design strategies for optimal cost control, enhance vendor management, achieve significant cost savings, and improve procurement sourcing and efficiency. This role will supervise a team of 6 Purchasing Specialists and deliver insights to the executive team while standardizing business methodologies and evaluating procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for service, CapEx, and material purchasing for the company.
• Form, lead, and facilitate cross-functional teams to execute procurement processes and plans.
• Fulfill daily purchasing tasks including price negotiation, contract signing, order fulfillment, and on-time delivery management.
• Resolve major issues with suppliers regarding delivery delays, negotiated price, and quality.
• Manage supplier performance, maintain relationships with key suppliers, and optimize the supplier base to meet business needs.
• Continuously develop and improve purchasing processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
• Implement purchasing control policies and provide user guidelines for deployment.
• Coach and motivate team members to ensure high performance.

Requirements

• BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Purchasing, Operations, or Supply Chain, preferably in a pharmaceutical or CRO environment.
• Mastery of purchasing systems such as SAP/S2P; experience implementing an S2P system is preferred.
• Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities, high sense of responsibility, self-discipline, and motivation.

Pay

The estimated salary range is $150,000 - $160,000, based on experience.

Schedule

Onsite 4 days per week with remote flexibility on Fridays.
