Sr. Manager - Primary Met QA Trainer (Part-time)

About the Role

This is a part-time and temporary position not to exceed 28 hours per week. The employee will act as a mentor, resource, and coach for new managers and hires within Quality and Manufacturing Organizations. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in audit standards during production and experience in quality-related capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as a mentor, resource, and coach within Quality and Manufacturing organizations.
• Train and mentor new hires, managers, and operators regarding quality standards and practices such as EAF, refining, and solidification.
• Assist in quality project initiatives.
• Support rotation for high-profile heats.
• Apply technology to caster release processes and act as lead for quality needs.
• Audit standards during production to redefine best practices.
• Assist in potential capital project work from a quality perspective.

Requirements

• 20 years of experience in Quality and Metallurgy in a steel manufacturing environment.
• Expert knowledge of the steelmaking process and process improvement.
