Sr. Manager -- Cost Accounting

For our client, a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space, we are seeking a Sr. Manager — Cost Accounting to support financial discipline around P&L visibility, margin improvement, and business performance. This role partners with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation, offering the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a life sciences environment.

About the role

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of financial analysts to ensure financial accountability in manufacturing operations
• Oversee product costing, inventory management, and variance analysis
• Facilitate financial planning and guide monthly and quarterly business reviews
• Implement strategic initiatives to enhance profitability across operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally to promote financial transparency and cost optimization

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 6+ years or Bachelor's with 8+ years of cost accounting/finance experience in manufacturing
• CPA or CMA preferred for enhanced credibility
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles is essential
• Expertise in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle and financial tools like Excel is required
• Proven leadership experience with team development in a financial context is crucial

Pay

$118,100 – $177,200 annually
