Sr. Manager, Consumer Campaign & Communications
About the role
This role exists to close the gap between admirer and astronaut, between follower and future spacefarer. As Sr. Manager, Consumer Campaign & Communications, you'll sit at the intersection of comms, community, and sales. You'll build the campaigns, messaging, and content plans that bring people into the community and move them from discovery to consideration—supporting our sales teams' conversation strategies. The ideal candidate understands both the art of brand storytelling and the mechanics of sales enablement. You're as comfortable writing a community post as you are a pitch deck, analyzing the journey and behaviors of hundreds of thousands of Virgin Galactic fans, and collaborating across functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute consumer-facing marketing campaigns that directly support sales objectives.
- Manage brand fan and enthusiast community engagement.
- Create top-of-funnel content that converts interest into genuine consideration.
- Support sales enablement materials: video briefs and scripts, one-pagers, talking points, email journey copy, portal content management.
- Build prospect-facing communications and campaign content in close partnership with the sales team.
- Support 360 communications campaigns to provide prospect-specific content plans around partnership activations and commercial moments.
- Manage and nurture content based on data-driven insights from lead-gen campaigns.
- Ensure brand voice and narrative remain consistent from first fan interaction through to close.
- Measure campaign performance; track and report on engagement, campaign performance, sales uplift, and reach.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to sharpen campaign positioning.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8 years with a Master’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 6–8+ years in marketing communications, sales enablement, community, or campaign roles.
- Demonstrated experience building or working with brand communities and advocacy programs.
- Exceptional writing skills across formats, from community posts to video briefs and scripts.
- Understanding of the fan-to-prospect journey and ability to design for it.
- Comfortable working closely with sales and commercial teams; ability to bridge both disciplines.
- Passion for consumer behavior, campaign coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Willingness to adjust thinking and behavior based on feedback.
- Ability to communicate in a timely, respectful, and open manner.
