Sr. Manager, Clinical Lab

About the role

Vitalant is seeking a Sr Manager, (QC/RLTS) dedicated to making a positive difference. Contribute to Vitalant's life-saving mission by collaborating with fellow team members and offering skilled technical oversight in the laboratory. You will coordinate the testing of biological specimens and review testing results and quality assessment data.

Responsibilities

• Assures quality customer service to all customers.
• Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates performance of assigned personnel. Coaches and develops assigned personnel; identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues. Leads with humility and a willingness to listen and consider suggestions from everyone, regardless of position or status.
• Oversees all testing procedures (including quality control testing) to ensure compliance with practices, regulations, and/or any agreements/contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
• Must satisfy CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing required.
• State licensure as required by regulations.
• Reference Lab Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification required for an accredited IRL, preferred for a reference lab.
• Seven years clinical laboratory experience required, including three years managerial or supervisory experience.
• Previous experience in molecular techniques, immunohematology techniques, automated testing and computerization preferred.

Days - will want to be available after hours via phone as needed.

Pay

$108,326.40 - $144,766.40
