Sr. Manager Business Systems
About the role
This position partners with business leadership, Information Technology (IT), and other key stakeholders to execute a business-specific Information Systems strategy. Leads projects involving system selection, enhancements, configuration, reporting, and updates to support the Bank's needs. Manages the design, development, testing, and ongoing administration of business-specific systems and participates in organizational change management efforts for each initiative. Manages a team of associates including hiring, performance management, coaching, and talent development.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development of the system strategy through partnership with business unit leaders, IT, and other key stakeholders. Executes strategy and ensures alignment both inside and outside of their specific business unit.
- Manages a team responsible for design, configuration, reporting, testing, implementation, and upgrades of supported business system(s). Oversees troubleshooting and process improvements for end users.
- Leads the vendor selection process, including oversight of vendor activities, related to department initiatives. Evaluates system functionality and effectiveness through user feedback, analysis, and process documentation; develops solutions to enhance systems as necessary.
- Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Recommends changes to policies, procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives.
- Manages hiring, performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Provides technical and professional development to maximize group achievements.
- Leads change management efforts across the organization for their business system. Provides training and education for business users, managers, and associates as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years' experience in Information Technology or Business System management or specific systems to be supported.
- Experience with the business system to be supported.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Fintech, Business Systems Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or 10+ years with High School Diploma/GED).
- Experience with the Zafin platform (preferred).
- Experience supporting deposit pricing or offer management solutions (preferred).
- Knowledge of consumer, business, and commercial banking products (preferred).
- Familiarity with core banking systems and related integrations (preferred).
- Knowledge of ALM, liquidity, and deposit profitability drivers (preferred).
- PMP certification or related project management experience (preferred).
- Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery environments (preferred).
- Experience supporting business-critical systems, pricing platforms, product platforms, or related banking technology solutions (preferred).
- Strong understanding of deposit products and pricing concepts (preferred).
- Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions and system capabilities (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing teams (preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
