About The Role

This highly visible and influential leadership role shapes the future of Davines’ Amazon and e-retail business across North America. You will own the strategic direction and day-to-day performance of the channel, serving as the central point of accountability across internal teams, global stakeholders, agency partners, and retail platforms. The role demands commercial acumen, analytical rigor, operational excellence, and digital expertise to translate data into clear business recommendations, identify profitable growth opportunities, and influence decisions across Amazon, Sephora.com, and Nordstrom.com. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: comfortable developing long-term channel vision, leading senior-level retailer conversations, and navigating complex business challenges while remaining closely connected to execution details.

Responsibilities

  • Business Ownership and Commercial Strategy
    • Own the Amazon and e-retail business & P&L across the U.S. and Canada, with accountability for revenue, profitability, market share, and growth targets.
    • Develop and execute differentiated strategies for Amazon, Sephora.com, and Nordstrom.com based on each platform’s customer, capabilities, and role within the broader omnichannel ecosystem.
    • Lead annual planning, forecasting, investment recommendations, promotional strategies, product launches, and channel priorities in partnership with senior leadership.
    • Evaluate channel performance and investment effectiveness, ensuring optimal allocation of media, trade, content, and operational resources.
    • Identify new growth opportunities across assortment, pricing, promotions, digital shelf, customer acquisition, conversion, and retention while maintaining awareness of competitive and industry trends.
  • Amazon/Sephora, Media and Digital Shelf Leadership
    • Lead the end-to-end Amazon business across the U.S. and Canada, including Vendor Central, forecasting, assortment, catalog health, inventory, retail operations, content, promotions, and advertising.
    • Develop strategies balancing sell-in, sell-out, profitability, inventory health, media efficiency, and long-term brand equity.
    • Lead Amazon Advertising strategy across Sponsored Ads, paid search, and DSP, partnering with Amazon and agency teams to improve traffic, conversion, new-to-brand acquisition, market share, and return on investment.
    • Define and lead the digital shelf strategy across Amazon, Sephora.com, and Nordstrom.com, including PDP content, Amazon A+ content, brand stores, retailer assets, and product discoverability.
    • Partner with Global and North American Creative, Brand, Digital Marketing, and agency teams to ensure content is brand-right, commercially effective, and optimized for each platform.
    • Own the e-retail activation calendars, ensuring product launches, assortment updates, tentpole events, retailer campaigns, and promotional programs are executed successfully.
  • Operations and Performance Management
    • Oversee operational excellence across all e-retail channels, ensuring accuracy and consistency across catalog setup, pricing, inventory, order flow, product availability, and retailer requirements.
    • Monitor and optimize weeks of supply, in-stock rates, replenishment, forecasts, and inventory health in partnership with the Digital Growth Analytics Manager, Supply Chain, Finance, and external partners.
    • Lead the resolution of shortages, chargebacks, deductions, unauthorized sellers, content suppression, catalog errors, and compliance issues to minimize revenue leakage and business disruption.
    • Establish clear reporting and performance-management processes, translating data into actionable recommendations, priorities, and recovery plans.
    • Ensure launches, assortment transitions, and promotional programs are supported by strong operational planning and cross-functional coordination.
  • Partner, Cross-Functional and Team Leadership
    • Serve as the primary business lead for Amazon, Sephora, Nordstrom, and relevant agency partners, building strong relationships across merchandising, operations, content, and advertising teams.
    • Lead retailer market meetings, business reviews, agency calls, and strategic planning sessions with confidence, clear ownership, and accountability.
    • Develop compelling presentations and strategic recommendations for executive leadership, global stakeholders, retail partners, and agencies, clearly connecting performance insights to decisions and next steps.
    • Collaborate closely with Digital Marketing, Growth Analytics, Brand, Creative, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, Education, Sales, and Global teams to ensure aligned and seamless execution.
    • Work effectively across countries, cultures, and time zones, balancing different market needs and perspectives while building alignment around shared business goals.
    • Manage and develop direct reports, establishing clear priorities, strengthening team capabilities, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing environment.
    • Participate in social and environmental initiatives to increase Davines' level of sustainability.
    • Other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Amazon, e-retail, e-commerce, or digital commerce, with demonstrated ownership of channel performance and business growth.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central, including retail operations, catalog management, inventory planning, promotions, and digital shelf optimization.
  • Deep expertise in Amazon Advertising, including hands-on management of Sponsored Ads, paid search, and DSP, with a strong understanding of full-funnel strategy, measurement, and optimization.
  • Experience managing retailer.com businesses; experience with Sephora, Nordstrom, or other prestige beauty retailers is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience owning or influencing a P&L, revenue forecast, media budget, or commercial investment plan.
  • Strong analytical and commercial capabilities, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify business implications, and recommend clear actions.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, including experience developing decks and presenting recommendations to senior leadership, global stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong relationship-management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead agencies, retail partners, and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and detailed execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strategic, results-oriented, and solutions-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and sound business judgment.
  • A creative eye and appreciation for premium beauty, brand storytelling, and elevated digital experiences are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

Pay

We expect the annual base salary for this position to be in the range of $110–120K and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
