About the role
Responsible for leading the operations and ensuring high-quality production of aerospace structures within Lockheed Martin’s Aerostructures division. This role involves managing teams, overseeing projects, and adhering to strict quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the production process from design to delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Manage cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
- Ensure adherence to quality control protocols and conduct regular inspections to maintain product integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing or operations management.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of industry certifications such as AS9100 or equivalent.
