About the role

Responsible for leading the operations and ensuring high-quality production of aerospace structures within Lockheed Martin’s Aerostructures division. This role involves managing teams, overseeing projects, and adhering to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production process from design to delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control protocols and conduct regular inspections to maintain product integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in aerospace manufacturing or operations management.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience with aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of industry certifications such as AS9100 or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
