Sr Maintenance Technician Building Facilities

Responsibilities

• Supports the planning, implementation, and continued support of facility projects, capital, expenditures, and improvements as needed.
• Develops preventative maintenance procedures for new and existing equipment, and all building systems.
• Interacts with building occupants including senior management (as needed) to answer questions or respond to complaints.
• Responds to afterhours emergency calls for assigned building.
• Affords assistance with other buildings as needed.
• Affords assistance with planning of long-range building repairs or improvements.
• Affords assistance with budget planning for the building.
• Informs appropriate personnel of problems and projects that will affect quality of production and production schedules.
• Ensures compliance of facility meets local building and fire codes.
• Assists with troubleshooting HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, related controls, motors etc.
• Assists with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Replaces and repairs building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, painting (walls), piping, floors, and equipment.
• Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and preventative maintenance.
• Maintains and tests fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment.
• Maintains tools and equipment through proper storage, training, and maintenance.
• Plans weekly work schedule to ensure proper building maintenance.
• Sets up and maintains maintenance records and project files.
• Supervises technicians or temp labor as needed for project work.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, related controls, motors etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
• Possesses competent knowledge of the use and the care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
