Sr Maintenance Engineer - Manager

About the role

Cabot Hopkinsville produces conductive additive products for use in critical battery applications. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is positioned to meet the growing global demand for these products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations and Reliability teams to develop and implement strategic maintenance plans.
• Define and drive a comprehensive maintenance strategy to ensure optimal plant performance, asset reliability, and operational continuity.
• Identify upcoming maintenance projects, major equipment repairs and replacements, and develop detailed scopes of work for significant maintenance activities.
• Implement maintenance expense/L1 capital improvement projects and maintain and publish schedules for strategic maintenance projects.
• Supervise major equipment repairs and modifications.
• Provide direction and recommendations for equipment modifications and upgrades to improve plant performance.
• Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.

Requirements

• Knowledge in areas such as Safe Work Practices, Confined Space Entry, LT&T, hot work, and other permitting processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge/background in welding processes.
• Expert knowledge of equipment lubrication.
• Expertise in rotating equipment design and repair.
• Knowledge of ASME codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/University degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an appropriate manufacturing environment.
