Sr. Machinist Technician/ Tool & Die Maker

Position Purpose Senior Machinist Technician: Perform general machining functions of the Tool Room in support of various departments throughout the plant. Tool & Die Maker Perform maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of Compound, Progressive, Coin Dies and FixturesFit and assemble parts to repair or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine tools and hand toolsProvide support for new projects, engineering projects & new tooling requirementsOperate Tool Room shop equipment (ex: Mills, Lathes, Grinders & Drill Press) Hourly or Salary Range: $28.00 -$38.75 Essential Functions Perform detail machining responsibilitiesProvide support for new projects, engineering projects & new tooling requirementsMaintains Environmental, Health, & Safety standards in the workplaceDemonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulationsWork with entry level machinistsManage project timeline requirements Education And Training High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)7 plus years job experienceAbility to manage time efficiently Minimum Qualifications Ability to read blueprintsAbility to use precision measuring instrumentsBasic math skillsGood communication skillsMust be able to work independentlyAble to work well with othersAbility to manage time efficiently Physical Demands Ability to bend, twist & lift repetitivelyAbility to lift 30 - 50 pounds occasionallyEnvironmental ConditionsEye protection is always required.Hearing protection is always requiredExposure to hot & cold temperaturesExposure to metal working fluidsExposure to noisy conditionsSteel toe boots with metatarsals are always required We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
