Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of web-based background investigation and driver qualification systems to support human resource and logistics team members in establishing and maintaining DOT required driver qualification files.
  • Utilize investigative and audit skills to validate driver qualification files for compliance.
  • Respond to DOT safety questionnaires from prospective employers of previous and/or current employees.
  • Verify compliance with DOT random testing requirements by validating the active pool list, monitoring completion of random selections, and validating the company's adherence to the regulatory definition of random.
  • Support local HR and Logistics teams by providing education on navigating the web-based system used for ordering services for drug testing and DOT physicals.
  • Work with local HR and HRIS to validate and update all new hires or transfers' regulatory designations in ADP.
  • Participate in site-specific regulatory assessments and company-provided DOT training.
  • Perform daily and ad-hoc tasks of a standard to difficult nature, including administrative tasks, customer service, reporting, system administration, and supporting daily operational activities.
  • Produce standard and original reports that may require identifying where and how to pull data.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, human resources, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency and skill with Microsoft Office Suite, company computer systems, and web-based systems used for hiring and managing DOT regulated employees.
  • Accuracy and detail-oriented skills.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Initiative in performing job duties and seeking increased responsibilities.
  • Ability to independently gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
  • Effective organization of time, energy, and resources to achieve goals.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Education

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
