The position applies engineering techniques and quantitative methods to solve complex problems and add value to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth knowledge of business processes and experience to create or improve solutions
- Interpret business issues and requirements to provide optimal solutions
- Identify and solve complex problems using technical and quantitative methods
- Lead and/or support projects to accomplish business goals
- Tailor communication of technical information to audience of peers and business partners
- Interact with internal and external customers to understand stakeholder needs
- Train, mentor, coach, and onboard junior team members
- Lead collaborations with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training with 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field AND Demonstration of the following Experience in data visualization software, statistics, operations research, linear programming, forecasting, predictive modeling, relational databases, and/or SQL
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong process improvement and operational optimization skillsExperience building relationships and partnering with cross-functional stakeholdersAbility to operate as a consultant—providing objective insights and recommendationsProven ability to identify improvement opportunities through observation and analysisExperience acting as an “objective set of eyes” to diagnose business challenges and recommend solutionsExperience supporting HR, people operationsKnowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement)Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferredExperience with robotic process automation (RPA) tools and conceptsProficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI
