Sr Java Developer

Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in Auburn, Washington (Hybrid). Local candidates only.

About the role

Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud microservices and REST APIs for cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable solutions on AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53) with experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
• Develop secure and high-performance applications using OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, SSO, MFA, along with performance tuning, multithreading, caching, and code optimization.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CDK, and Git.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Hibernate, JPA, with exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate in Agile environments, participate in sprint planning and code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• Enterprise-grade Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud microservices development.
• AWS cloud services (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53).
• Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
• Security frameworks: OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, SSO, MFA.
• Performance tuning, multithreading, caching, and code optimization.
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CDK, and Git.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, Hibernate, JPA, and exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Agile collaboration, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Mentoring junior developers.
• Exposure to Azure and Google Cloud is an added advantage.
