Sr IT Engineer VDI

For our client, we are seeking a Sr IT Engineer VDI to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will support the design, administration, and continuous improvement of virtual desktop infrastructure in a complex healthcare environment. The position will partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to help ensure stable operations, effective change management, and alignment between infrastructure capabilities and business needs. It also plays a key role in shaping technology strategy, managing supplier performance, and supporting operational and financial planning. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Communicate and coordinate with internal customers and vendors on operational processes, including support escalation and change management Assist in the development of technology strategy and roadmap for infrastructure technologies Analyze and coordinate the implementation of operational and financial initiatives Manage supplier relationships and oversee performance metrics and reporting Plan and control operating and capital budget for assigned responsibilities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required 8 years of technical engineering experience Specialized knowledge in administering VDI environments, particularly with Omnissa Horizon or VMware Horizon Strong understanding of VMware infrastructure components like vSphere/ESXi and vCenter Experience managing application publishing and user data persistence solutions Benefits Opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of the organizational culture Access to industry trends and continuous improvement opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
