About the role
Amazon Music is an immersive audio entertainment service that deepens connections between fans, artists, and creators. The Amazon Music Community and Fandom team is responsible for creating differentiated experiences for fans and artists. This role involves working on large-scale solutions that delight customers through voice and visual experiences, mentoring other engineers, and developing engineering and operational processes.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will work both independently and alongside teams in Music, Amazon, and third-party to architect and develop large-scale solutions that will delight our customers through voice and visual experiences. You’ll also be coaching other engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and encouraging excellence within the team.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 3+ years of iOS development experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
