About the role
In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel and our customers to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Schedule
- 1st Shift / Monday–Friday
- Flexible start time between 6:00 am and 8:00 am
- 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch break
Pay
Hourly rate: $20.00 – $23.50

Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in material handling / inventory replenishment
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
- Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing
- Excellent customer service skills; displays a professional can-do attitude
- High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures
- Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward thinking
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control, stock movement, cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reporting
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and ensure accurate inventory records
- Process inventory requests and coordinate on-site and off-site inventory movements
- Provide customer service support, including order entry, reporting, metrics tracking, and issue resolution
- Perform purchasing activities such as backorder management, expediting, quote management, invoice reconciliation, and vendor coordination
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including shipment processing, documentation, and package delivery
- Handle hazardous materials and ensure compliance with shipping and packaging requirements
- Manage consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned, and third-party inventory
- Interface with customers, suppliers, purchasing teams, facility leaders, and plant managers
- Utilize SAP, Citrix, ChemSW, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, and other customer-specific systems
- Maintain documentation, records, SOPs, and support change management initiatives
- Collaborate with sales teams and manufacturer representatives to support business operations
- Drive process improvements and develop programs that enhance service efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
