About the role
The Sr. Industrial Engineer plays a crucial role within Corporate Continual Improvement & Lean Six Sigma, focusing on distribution team initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and service across the entire supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to and executes initiatives to improve processes, procedures, and tools utilized by the organization.
- Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma methodology to drive and sustain continuous improvement.
- Establishes and maintains engineered labor standards across the Distribution network.
- Facilitates medium to large cross-functional and cross-departmental projects with high complexity and cross-organizational impact.
- Uses data to make better-informed decisions about the business, transforming and aggregating data for data discovery.
- Provides on-call support as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant and related positions in engineering support in a retail, manufacturing, or comparable environment.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean tools/methodologies and Distribution experience.
- Experience in projects related to process design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and project implementation.
- Foundational knowledge of supply chain management strategies and concepts.

- Knowledge of Supply Chain operations with the ability to conceptualize, document, and communicate solutions to better align with business strategy and meet objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex data for trends and translate into actionable business recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project or cross-functional teams to resolve, implement, or reach consensus on issues.
- Ability to mine and merge large amounts of rich data sources, ensure data consistency, make data-driven predictions to drive profitable courses of action, and create visualizations to aid in understanding data.
- Outstanding leadership and human relations skills to build effective relationships with team, leadership, and business partners.
- Written and verbal communication skills to effectively present information to all levels of leadership.
- Facilitation, influencing, and organization skills to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
- Self-starter and flexible to work on various shifts as needed.
Skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology.
- Experience conducting time studies and development of engineered labor standards.
- Experience with Warehouse/Labor management systems like Red Prairie & High Jump.
