Tasks
- Prepare monthly data for the U.S. return preparation process which is outsourced with a consulting firm;
- Manage outsourced return preparation consulting firm:
- Reconcile the funding requests from the consulting firm;
- Reconcile monthly sales tax bank account;
- Prepare and file all Canadian GST, HST & PST monthly returns;
- Reconcile all sales tax accounts monthly;
- Prepare and file miscellaneous returns as needed.
Tax Audit Support
- Aid in resolving sales tax audits for North American entities;
- Resolve sales tax-related notices.
Business Unit Support
- Collaborate with business unit accounting personnel to ensure proper and timely recording of tax payments, refunds, and accruals;
- Partner with business unit personnel regarding tax compliance needs and procedural issues;
- Handle rate issues for the financial services company;
- Train non-tax personnel on tax issues related to their positions.
Special Projects
- Research and resolve issues arising in the compliance process;
- Update rate and law changes in various tax and accounting systems;
- Audit and document processes for internal controls;
- Identify areas of exposure under the guidance of the Tax Director and Tax Manager;
- Assist the Tax Director and Tax Manager with research and special projects;
- Maintain customer exemptions in Onesource;
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required;
- CPA, MST preferred;
- 4 - 6 years of direct tax experience in a top-tier public accounting firm or large corporate tax department or related experience in a finance company;
- Experience with the indirect tax impact of vehicle leasing preferred;
- Excellent computer skills including Access, Excel, Word, RIA or CCH tax research software required;
- SAP experience and Vertex or Onesource Indirect Tax experience a plus;
- Excellent organizational skills required with an ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements;
- Good communication skills and the ability to work openly within a team;

Schedule/Shift
Hybrid – In office 3 days/week
Pay
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$95,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
