Job Description As a Sr. Identity Engineer- Single Sign On at Honeywell, this is your opportunity to join our Cybersecurity team and provide valuable, secure user experiences for Honeywell employees, partners, and customers. Responsibilities You will work with the latest Single Sign-On technologies that perform multi-factor authentication, federation, and profile management. You will provide world class engineering solutions ensuring that they align with direction set by best practices and defined standards within Honeywell. Your job responsibilities will include the following: Serve as a subject matter expert for SSO services under the IAM services portfolioUnderstand how the service works from a business/end-user/technical perspectiveHave command of the service including its capabilities and proper useExecute proof-of-concepts guided by Sr. Identity Architect and Service ManagerComplete assigned project/tasks in a timely mannerInteract with key stakeholders and project/program teams to understand their requirements and engineer solutions based on best practicesEnsure proper oversight for quality assurance of IAM artifactsEnforce adherence to architectural standards/principlesProactively provide feedback regarding infrastructure IAM engineering methodologies, standards, and leading projectsMinimize technical exposure and risk on projectsDelivers and manages a highly available, stable, and secure Directory Services environmentParticipates in the testing (e.g. planning and execution) related to performance, disaster recovery, and business continuity for AD and AADDeliver solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirementsContribute to and execute tasks within the service backlogCreate design packagesDevelop, test, and deploy code packagesMaintain accurate and timely tracking of activitiesAnalytical/Decision Making ResponsibilitiesUnderstands the art of the possible, compares various architectural options based on feasibility/impact and proposes actionable plansDemonstrated strong analytical skills and technical problem-solving skillsAnalyzes and resolves complex issues (e.g. performance problems and outages) to the Directory Services environments, escalating to and working with vendors and clients as requiredAbility to analyze and operate at different levels of abstractionAbility to balance what is strategically right with what is practically realistic Evangelize optimal options based on documented best practices and standardsMaintain accurate and timely tracking of activitiesIncident/Problem managementManage incident/problem lifecycle including ticketing and stakeholder interactionPerforms proactive problem management to identify and resolve potential issues related to the Directory environmentsFollow documented troubleshooting procedures for standard support situationsEscalate to and collaborate with tier 3 support (i.e., Sr. Identity Architect), when necessaryRun book activitiesMonitor the service from both a functional and infrastructure perspectiveExecute service reports and gather/report metricsAddress service problems Document changes and/or new activities Works under supervision of the Sr. Cyber Security Manager, and interacts with Senior/Portfolio Architect Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a computer-related field such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or equivalent. 3+ years of experience in developing web applications2+ years of experience with Identity and Access Management We Value Experience with identity provider technologies such as Ping Federate, Okta, etc.Experience with SAML, OAuth, OpenID ConnectUnderstanding of encryption, certificates, and digital signaturesJava development including frameworks such as StrutsWeb development with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, Bootstrap, etc.SQL database design and optimization (including query)Technical design and development skillsStrong analytical and technical problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with various requirements gathering techniquesKnowledge and experience in IT/development methodologies and life cyclesExperience building/supporting solutions for mission-critical, distributed applicationsExperience with multi-tier system development for large enterprisesExposure to infrastructure and application security technologies and approachesExperience with directories such as LDAP and Active DirectoryKnowledge of cloud concepts and designExperience with service-oriented designUnix/Linux knowledgeMobile development experience – both native and responsive web designInterpersonal communication and organizational skills Benefits Of Working For Honeywell In addition to a competitive salary, leading-edge work, and developing solutions side-by-side with dedicated experts in their fields, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
