About the role
A global live entertainment and ticketing technology company seeks a Senior Manager of Identity Services to oversee the delivery, operations, and people development for a critical security function. This is a hands-on leadership role for a manager with deep IAM expertise and proven people management skills.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of Identity Services initiatives against roadmap commitments with high quality
- Manage backlog prioritization, sprint planning, epic creation, and retrospectives within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Serve as the primary escalation point for critical identity-related incidents and coordinate cross-team response
- Lead capacity planning and resource allocation balancing operational support demands with strategic project work
- Maintain and improve operational runbooks, incident response procedures, and knowledge documentation
- Define and govern the operating model for Identity Services including team structure, escalation paths, and capacity strategy
- Provide subject matter expertise across Active Directory, Okta, Adaxes, PAM solutions, and MFA and hardware key implementations
- Guide architectural decisions for identity infrastructure aligned with Zero Trust principles
- Champion least privilege access, just-in-time provisioning, and robust privileged access management
- Drive automation and IaC adoption to improve efficiency, consistency, and security of identity operations
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Security Engineering and Information Security on enterprise identity initiatives and cross-org security programs
- Drive remediation of identity-related findings from audits, assessments, and security reviews
- Influence enterprise security strategy beyond Identity Services' direct scope
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on IAM experience with deep expertise across Microsoft Active Directory including Group Policy, ADFS, LDAP, and AD-integrated DNS, Okta, and related IAM platforms
- 3+ years in a people management or team lead role with direct responsibility for engineer development, performance management, and team delivery
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, PAM, and least privilege access patterns
- Practical experience with MFA solutions, hardware security key management such as YubiKey, and authentication protocols including OAuth, OIDC, and SAML
- Solid understanding of bastion host and jumpbox architectures for secure production access
- Experience with identity lifecycle management including provisioning, deprovisioning, and downstream system integration
- Familiarity with Agile and SAFe frameworks including backlog management, sprint planning, and PI Planning
- Familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices including GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
- Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance requirements as they relate to identity infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience owning a function or program with accountability for multi-quarter roadmaps and organizational outcomes
- Experience managing headcount planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with cloud IAM patterns in AWS or GCP with a security focus
- Experience implementing or managing IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or similar for identity infrastructure
- Experience with threat modeling for identity infrastructure and production access pathways
