Sr. Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Sr. Human Resources Generalist position at AirSea Packing Group, Inc. is based in Sante Fe Springs. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role provides support for the Sante Fe Springs location and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment
• On-boarding
• Worker's Compensation
• Supporting leadership development programs
• Maintain knowledge of current human resource and benefit trends, laws, governmental compliance and company policies
• Conduct investigations related to specific issues initiated from employees
• Track key information/reports pertaining to: succession planning, turnover trends, market compensation data; employee relation issues and other key HR related tasks
• Cook up the annual merit and employee evaluation process
• Cover some travel
• Support the Human Resources Director as needed
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus
• Previous experience in a logistics operations environment preferred

Requirements

• Experience in a customer service/logistics environment is preferred
• Preference will be given to candidates with 5+ years of progressive human resources generalist experience in a logistics environment with an emphasis on recruitment and employee relations
• PURPOSEFUL PHR/SPHR certification is highly preferred

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and/or professional certification in this field or similar is required
