Sr HSE Engineer
About the role
As a Sr. HSE Engineer here at Solstice Advanced Materials (SAM), you will be responsible for implementing and leading the site’s HSE programming. You will ensure the highest standards of HSE for employees, comply with all regulations and implement safe work practices. You will report directly to our SAM HSE OPS Director and matrix to the Site HSE Manager, and work out of our Fombell, PA location on a regular work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage all aspects of HSE, including compliance with applicable regulations, management of change, job hazard analysis, leading, organizing and supporting other HSE modeling activities.
- Maintain HSE dashboard tracking critical program execution, ensuring on-time and effective performance for improvement actions projects and processes.
- Support continuously improving the HSE Management System, engineering practices and applying Solstice’s Operating System tools to process improvement.
- Drive a proactive HSE culture.
- Lead projects to support HSE initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance and Site compliance reviews, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Be an effective coach and role model including Best Practice sharing.
- Drive standard work and consistent and effective Risk Management processes.
- Participate in Corporate and Divisional engagements and team projects.
- Facilitation and participation in Root Cause Analysis investigations.
Qualifications
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree in HSE or a similar major.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing role.
- Strong background in HSE regulatory standards.
- Experience leading complex Root Cause Analysis investigations.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Strong leadership acumen.
Skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Innovative thinking to create continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Experience using LEAN tools (greenbelt or other).
- Technical knowledge that can apply to role.
- Ability to deliver in complex situations.
- Customer focused, strategic, and creative thinking.
- Capital project management experience a plus.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $92,000k - $115,000k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
