About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) supports mid to senior-level business and functional leaders by providing consultative support and leadership to influence the design and execution of business strategy. This role will support the Workforce Health & Screening Solutions lab team based in Lenexa, KS, translating business plans into talent and organizational plans while driving results through organizational capability and performance. The Sr. HRBP collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence and the Service Center to ensure optimal HR service delivery. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office at Quest’s Lenexa, KS site.

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with mid to senior-level clients, serving as a trusted partner who anticipates needs and proactively recommends solutions.
  • Acts as an active member of the leadership team, influencing and challenging decisions at this level.
  • Develops a solid understanding of current and future business trends, both internal and external.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to leadership on strategic and operational matters.
  • Consults with leaders to develop and execute business strategies that build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
  • Translates business plans into talent and organizational plans, contributing to the People Strategy, including organizational redesign, workforce planning, total rewards, succession planning, talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
  • Optimizes transformational change efforts by providing consulting support and frameworks for leading and managing change.
  • Leads succession planning to ensure leadership talent aligns with business strategy.
  • Partners with HR Centers of Excellence and the HR Service Center to ensure optimal service delivery and value-added programs aligned with business strategy.
  • Uses outcome-based metrics to identify trends and influence business decisions.
  • Ensures strong leadership teams are in place and plays a key role in recruiting senior-level talent.
  • Drives organizational performance as measured by productivity, quality, and service.
  • Fosters a high-performance culture that supports employee success and delivers results.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in HR or related field required; Master’s in HR, MBA, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and HR systems.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership development skills.
  • Understanding of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Highly developed leadership and strategic influencing skills.
  • Experience supporting non-exempt, frontline employees preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with mid-level to senior members of the organization.
