About the role

We're actively seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our team. In this role you will be a key contributor for the Human Resources function. This person will be a primary on-site contact and will report to the HR Manager. We are seeking someone that can lead, manage, facilitate, connect, and build relationships with our plant personnel and the surrounding community. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Rensselaer, IN office/facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, selection onboarding and new employee orientation.
• Lead employee relations and act as a primary point of contact for employee concerns. Provide guidance on HR-related issues for diverse audiences.
• Coordinate or conduct workplace investigations. Support managers in handling workplace disputes.
• Administer company policies, procedures, communications and trainings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Provide training, communication, and support as needed to support the business.
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and training programs to support compliance, development, and core knowledge.
• Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
• Support payroll administration through timekeeping assistance and payroll inquiries.
• Collaborate with Leadership to ensure a safe working environment, adherence to safety regulations and manage workers compensation claims.
• Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding processes, maintain accurate and confidential information, personnel files, and other documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on advisory or business partnering roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation would be beneficial.
• Proficiency in applications for data analytics, communication, and organization including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft 365.
• Previous experience in HRIS, Time & Attendance, and Payroll platforms.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to drive engagement, influence change management, and champion positive work relations.
