About the Role
We are currently seeking a Sr. Global Supply Manager specializing in Interior components. The successful candidate will manage all company business with a selected group of parts suppliers and serve as the key internal interface with Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Manufacturing to deliver world-class products on time and cost-effectively. Responsibilities include identifying, developing, and managing the global supply chain, helping to establish our global supply chain strategy, supporting cross-functional teams throughout development and industrialization, and driving sound business decisions across the product life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Global Supply Managers, Tier-1/2 Suppliers, and Engineering to lead sourcing and release activities for interior and exterior parts, and issue POs for prototype and production components.
- Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify parts suppliers that meet Lucid's expectations and program timelines.
- Create RFQs, review and analyze supplier quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical factors.
- Negotiate favorable contracts related to parts procurement and engineering services.
- Manage supplier development and parts availability timelines for prototype builds and production start-up, resolving any delays or issues that arise.
- Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as the primary contact for all commercial issues, including regular internal updates on sourcing status, parts industrialization, and engineering changes.
- Travel 15-25% to conduct supplier business and program reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5-8 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering, specifically related to SCCMs, OHCs, Switches, Visors, Decos, Trigger mechs, and more automotive parts.
- Deep knowledge of parts manufacturing processes, should-cost analysis, and cost models covering design, production launch, and engineering changes.
- Proven understanding of plastic injection, stamping, or other relevant manufacturing processes used in interior/exterior parts production.
- Prior automotive parts launch experience.
- Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis, with proven teamwork and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering results through strategy and hands-on execution.
- Creative, calculated risk-taker able to manage complex suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, presentation ability, and organizational/program management proficiency.
- Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Ability to creatively and effectively mitigate unforeseen issues.
