Sr GL Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage all finance and accounting operations
• Cook up and direct the preparation and closing of the month-end and year-end financial statements for independent audit or review
• Aid in the preparation of financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Knowledge in percentage of completion revenue recognition
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Manage the company’s financial reporting system, and generate monthly financial statements and ensure the integrity of the balance sheet
• Coordinate the annual audit/review, bank audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 8 years of related experience (Project based accounting experience considered an asset)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics SL is considered an asset
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; working with large datasets from multiple systems
• Strong analytical background; results driven
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a complex fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
• Well-developed critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and business operations personnel

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
