About the role

Join a dynamic team at Esri where innovation meets impact. We are seeking a talented individual to join our GIS development team. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that utilize GIS technology to solve complex problems and drive meaningful change.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain GIS applications using Python, JavaScript, and related technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement GIS solutions
  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing GIS software
  • Support project management and ensure timely delivery of GIS projects
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in GIS development or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and related GIS tools
  • Experience with GIS data modeling and analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar

Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Understanding of spatial analysis techniques and geospatial databases
  • Knowledge of web mapping technologies and APIs
  • Experience with version control systems like Git

Pay

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule that allows for occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
