Sr. GenAI Strategist - Startups, Generative AI Innovation Center

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a seasoned and proactive senior business-oriented technologist with a balanced skillset in startup ecosystem knowledge, effective interpersonal skills, and expertise in analytics/big data, machine learning, and generative artificial intelligence. This senior role will focus on assisting startup customers in accelerating their growth, achieving product-market fit, or enhancing their business outcomes through the utilization of advanced and emerging generative AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Align startup founders, technical leaders, and business stakeholders; guide them in exploring the potential of generative AI and machine learning, and develop a roadmap to realize business value with startup-appropriate speed and capital efficiency
• Act as a senior thought leader within the team, mentoring junior strategists and shaping the overall startup engagement methodology
• Discuss complex AI/ML business concepts with startup executives, venture capitalists, and technical founders across stages from seed to growth
• Engage with various AWS teams, including applied scientists, solutions architects, business development, marketing, startup specialists, partners, and regional organizations
• Drive strategic engagements with high-potential startups from ideation through vision building, scoping, closure, and into delivery
• Identify and codify repeatable generative AI patterns across the startup portfolio into scalable programs and frameworks
• Conduct workshop sessions with startup customers to identify opportunities for delivering business value through generative AI or machine learning, emphasizing rapid time-to-value
• Build relationships with the venture capital and accelerator ecosystem to source and support AI-native startups on AWS

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• 6+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
• Experience working in or supporting sales, with preference for startup or high-growth company contexts
• Experience launching technical programs, projects, or related work that include big data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
