About the role
Waltz Health is seeking a seasoned Sr. Full Stack Engineer to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of web, back-end, data, and cloud applications across the Waltz Health marketplace platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance full stack applications supporting Waltz Health marketplace and cash card products, including web applications, back-end services, data ingestion, transformation, pricing, and platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Business, and client stakeholders to gather requirements, contribute to roadmap planning, and deliver technology solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Design, build, and support scalable, secure, cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, data services, and supporting platform services.
- Provide L2 production support for escalated user issues, analyze customer feedback and operational metrics, and recommend improvements to application functionality and performance.
- Contribute to engineering best practices related to code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, release readiness, and quality assurance.
- Design and implement API integrations, microservices, and reusable services using technologies such as .NET, Python, React or Angular, SQL databases, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure-native services.
- Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews, document technical decisions, share knowledge with team members, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of technical education and professional experience required.
- 6-8 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on full stack development and technical leadership of projects or teams.
- Strong hands-on experience building scalable, secure applications on Microsoft Azure using .NET/C#, ASP.NET, Python, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience developing front-end and back-end applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations for healthcare, marketplace, or data-driven platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake; experience with data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and pricing workflows.
- Comfortable working in Agile and DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Jenkins or similar tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform.
- Ability to provide L2 support, troubleshoot production issues, review customer feedback, and translate operational insights into roadmap improvements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technology, product, business, and client teams and translate business requirements into technical plans and tradeoffs.
