About The Role We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain features across the Called platform. This is a full stack engineering role working across React and TypeScript applications, Python and Django services, APIs, and PostgreSQL databases. You should be comfortable building features across the stack, from database models and backend logic to responsive, accessible interfaces. A major part of this role will be taking features from implementation through testing and release. That includes making technical decisions, troubleshooting issues across application layers, and ensuring changes are reliable and maintainable. We’re looking for engineers with hands-on AI experience who build repeatable workflows to accelerate development, improve quality, and reduce repetitive work. This is a senior individual contributor role, not a people-management role or formal technical lead role. What You'll Do Build and improve features using React, TypeScript, React Query, CSS Modules, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and related tools.Create responsive, accessible interfaces that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.Own full stack features from planning through implementation, QA, release, and iteration.Design, build, and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and integrations.Develop and maintain database models, migrations, and queries.Implement application logic, data validation, authentication, and permissions across frontend and backend systems.Write and maintain automated tests for frontend and backend functionality.Troubleshoot issues across the stack, reproduce bugs, validate fixes, and prevent regressions.Improve application architecture, performance, reliability, and maintainability.Build AI-assisted development workflows and review generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, testing, and team knowledge-sharing. We Value Ownership over bureaucracyShipping over perfectionismCuriosity over egoProduct thinking over ticket completionMission and craftsmanship equally What We're Looking For 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience building and shipping meaningful production software.Strong experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design.Strong backend development experience with Python. Experience with Django or other backend frameworks, with a willingness to work in Django.Experience designing, building, and maintaining REST APIs and integrations.Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and query performance.Understanding of frontend architecture, component design, state management, data fetching, performance, and accessibility.Experience writing automated tests and debugging issues across frontend, backend, and database layers.Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment.Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to implement, debug, test, and ship software.Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and a willingness to own quality before release.A passion for building technology that supports a mission-driven organization.
