Job Summary On behalf of our U.S.-based client in the Insurance Technology sector, we are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Application Engineer to support and enhance critical policy and claims management applications. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom business applications used by internal stakeholders and external partners. The ideal candidate brings strong front-end development expertise combined with full stack capabilities and experience working with enterprise-level business systems, along with the ability to engage effectively with external clients, vendors, and business leadership. Candidates can join this fully remote engagement through full-time, part-time, or contractual arrangements, depending on project requirements and mutual suitability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain custom policy and claims management business applicationsBuild and enhance user-facing web applications using modern front-end technologiesDevelop and optimize backend services, APIs, and database integrationsCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutionsSupport system integrations across multiple business applicationsTroubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issuesWork closely with vendors and external partners to support application enhancements and implementationsParticipate in application architecture discussions and technology roadmapsMaintain data integrity and application security standardsProvide technical guidance and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle Required Skills 6–8+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java, SQL, and React or AngularStrong front-end development expertise combined with full stack capabilitiesExperience working with enterprise-level business systemsAbility to interact confidently with business stakeholders, vendors, and customersStrong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and data integrity principles Good to Have Experience in Insurance, Reinsurance, or broader Financial Services applicationsExperience building and maintaining data pipelinesFamiliarity with policy administration or claims management system environmentsExperience developing backend APIs and integrationsKnowledge of ASP.NET environments or cross-platform enterprise application ecosystemsCloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) AI Experience Exposure to AI-driven coding tools, including GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or comparable platforms, to support efficient software development, debugging, and code optimization is desirable.Interest in applying AI-assisted tools for code review, testing, or documentation Managerial Experience This is an individual contributor role with client-facing responsibilities; candidates should demonstrate the ability to engage confidently with business leadership, vendors, and external partners, and to provide technical guidance to the broader team Operational Experience Proven experience managing, enhancing, and modernizing production-grade enterprise applications to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.Experience with system integrations across multiple business applicationsExperience troubleshooting performance, reliability, and scalability issuesFamiliarity with maintaining data integrity and application security standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.6–8+ years of hands-on professional experience in full-stack application development, with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
