Responsibilities
- Support daily service needs and special events across campus and the University.
- Prepare food according to established recipes and portion control standards.
- Use kitchen utensils, appliances, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Load, carry, and transport food items in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Catering spaces are set up with required display items, utensils, and equipment.
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, tableware, equipment, counters, tables, food carts, and floors according to sanitation standards.
- Assist other food service staff as needed to support campus operations and event success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of culinary school or 12 months of restaurant/customer service experience.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License.
- Hepatitis A vaccine required if hired, or annual testing.
- Ensure proper equipment setup and execution for events.
- Prefer previous catering experience.
